From the dress to the decorations, it's no secret that wedding planning is exhausting! That's why I have created a free mock wedding day timeline to assist you in finalizing details for the big day :)
Here is an example timeline created as if the sealing is scheduled for 12:00 pm and the venue and temple are 30 minute drives away with a two hour break in the middle!
7:00 am - Get ready
9:25 am - Start drive to temple
10:00 am - Arrive at temple for bridal photos
11:00 am - Enter temple for paperwork and prep
12:00 pm - Sealing starts
12:45 pm - Temple exit
12:50 pm - Family pictures
1:30 pm - Leave Temple or take more bridal photos
2:00 pm - Luncheon
*BREAK TIME* Go hit up Swig or lay on the couch and take a quick nap
(Also gives your guests a chance to relax before the rest of the festivities continue)
4:00 pm - Ceremony
4:30 pm - Wedding party pictures
5:00 pm - Dinner
6:00 pm - Reception starts
6:40 pm - End greeting line
6:45 pm - Shoe game
6:47 pm - Cake cutting
6:50 pm - Father-Daughter dance, Mother-Son dance, First dance
7:00 pm - Dance party
7:55 pm - Exit
8:00 pm - Reception ends
As an LDS Wedding Photographer who got married in the temple last summer, I have tons of experience in navigating the timeline of wedding days. I am also an introvert, I desperately needed that break in between activities to breathe.
If I had a couple inquire with me for a wedding and this was their day of timeline, my starting price would be $1,500 plus sales tax. Travel fees may also be applicable.
